STORYTELLING GROUP: The local storytelling group will meet on Wednesday, September 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center. This storytelling group has met Wednesday evenings four to five times a year. One of the goals is to hold a workshop on how to teach storytelling to youth and families. Contact the Fine Arts Center to be on the group e-mail list for meetings. We are looking forward to a lot of Halloween storytelling.



IMPROV FACTION: This program, open to tenth grade through first year college students, meets on Thursday afternoons, 5 to 6 p.m., under the direction of Barbara Dawson. Visit our website or contact Barbara Dawson at 723-2741 for dates and additional information.

CELEBRATE YOUR MUSEUM DAY: The World of Puppetry Museum will be open this Saturday, September 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. for a special celebration of the statewide Celebrate Your Museum Day. Free activities include puppet history tours and demonstrations, puppet making and puppet play, a “Punch & Judy” show at 3 p.m., followed by a delightful and informative “Celebrate the History and Diversity of Puppets” show at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.



MUSIC IN THE CITY: This popular series will begin again in October and continue on the third Friday of each month. The first performance on October 16 will feature the Red Desert Ramblers playing bluegrass, old country and swing music with guitar, mandolin, hammered dulcimer and five-string banjo backing vocalists. These musicians are known for awesome music and smoking instrumental breaks. This program is sponsored in part by the Box Elder Tourism Board.



FALL CLASSES: Fall classes are underway. There are still a few openings in some classes. Call for more information.

•Adult Beginning Watercolor: tentatively scheduled to start Wednesday, September 23, for six weeks, 7-8:30 pm. Class fee is $40. Intermediate students are welcome to call for additional class information.

•Adult Basic Photography: scheduled to start Thursday, September 24. 6:30-8 p.m. for 5 weeks. Class fee is $30.

•Youth Choir: Monday, K-2 Children’s Choir, 4-5 p.m. for ages 5 -7 years; Youth Choir is 5-6 p.m. for 8-15 years of age; Audition Choir for 9 and up will start in January. Cost is $55 for 14 weeks or $20 per month.

•Intermediate Theater School: Thursday, 4-5 p.m. For grades 6-8, performance on November 12. Cost is $35.
