And the location is . . .
Officials of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said yesterday that the recently-announced Brigham City temple will be built on the property at 250 South Main Street, directly across the street, west of the Brigham City Tabernacle, according to church spokesman, Scott Trotter. This will bring the total number of Utah temples to 14 when it is completed. Employees of Applied Geotechnical Engineering Consultants, Inc. (AGEC), are shown on the vacant Central Square property earlier this month gathering core samples. According to its website, AGEC focuses its expertise on geotechnical, geologic and construction-materials testing aspects of constructed facilities and the environment. Its objective is to provide clients with technically-sound recommendations after consideration of theoretical, practical and economic aspects of clients’ projects. Now speculators can wonder about how it is going to fit.
